Today in Kenya, if you look around, despite all economic struggles there are many children who are compelled to sleep on an empty stomach, without a roof over their head. This becomes more pain striking when we see an infant being carried to the grave yard because he/she become a mere victim of hunger and malnutrition. A few fortunate survive after a long struggle, as others go astray in the long run as they get influenced and carried away by drug abuse, alcohol, illiteracy and unavoidable diseases.
With more than half the popluation living on less than a dollar a day and in order to reduce this social menace, Lions Club of Menengai, Nakuru has embarked on a worthy project of building a Children's Village where orphan girls are cared for; fed; housed and educated. In order to ensure the success of this project we joined hands with North Sea Lions (In European Countries), Anand Marg Missionary and the family of Late Nangpar Shah for financial and management support. |
